BC loses to Saint Louis

Boston College was upset by Saint Louis 53-50 today. The team shot horribly, 33.3% from the floor (18-54), 18.8% from behind the arc (3-16), and 57.9% from the line (11-19). Tyrese Rice shot a miserable 2-14, including 1-7 from 3 point land and finished with a measly 6 points. Trapani managed to score only 6 as well. Southern was in foul trouble and played only 14 minutes all game. The lone bright performance for BC came from Corey Raji who finished with 22 points. Boston College was out-rebounded in the game 40-27. Saint Louis didn't shoot particularly well either, but had strong second half performances from their seniors. BC had a great opportunity to build an early lead in the first half, the Billikens top scorers were held entirely in check for the first half, but the score was tried 23 a piece heading into the locker room.

This is a tough loss for the Eagles in a game they most certainly should have won. BC had a major talent and size advantage, but failed to capitalize on them. BC looks to rebound against Purdue in the NIT Season Tip-Off on Wednesday.
