Jeff Jagodzinski Rumor | Interview with NY Jets

Rumors are swirling that the New York Jets are interested in Jeff Jagodzinski as a possible candidate for their head coaching vacancy. Jags has denied this report to the Boston Globe, although this New York Jets Blog claims the Jets are planning on interviewing him.

Any successful coach with an NFL pedigree like Jags' will have their name mentioned as a possible candidate. Add in the fact that Jags has a connection with Brett Farve (Green Bay Offensive Coordinator in '06) and its no wonder why he might be a candidate. However, I highly doubt the Jets make a run at Jagodzinski. With so many high profile coaches currently available (Mike Shanahan, Romeo Crennel, Josh McDaniels to name a few) it is unlikely the Jets let Jagodzinski learn on the job in New York. Plus, Jags seems to be very comfortable at BC and he genuinely enjoys what he does. My only concern is that this affects our recruits so close to national signing day. BC has some very crucial official visits coming up in January and he must dispel these rumors to these prospective student-athletes.
