Boston College Wins ACC Series Opener vs. FSU

Boston College won their opening series in the ACC winning two of three games down in Tallahassee this weekend. This marked the first time ever Florida State has dropped a home series opener in the ACC. Quite an impressive feat for Boston College as the offense continues to surprise teams. They may make some noise in the ACC this season. BC improves to 10-3 on the young season.

Game 1: Loss 4-1
The Eagles mustered only 3 hits in the loss.

Game 2: Win 14-6
BC collects 16 hits, highlighted by a 4-hit effort from Tony Sanchez. Sanchez and Mickey Wiswall each homered. Sophomore John Leonard threw 4 scoreless innings in relief.

Game 3: Win 12-5
Once again the offense propelled the team to victory. Sanchez went 3-3 with 4 rbi. Robbie Anston, Mickey Wiswall, Mike Belfiore, and Matt Hamlet all had multiple hit games. The bullpen pitched out of jams to limit the Seminoles to just 1 run in 6 1/3 innings.
