3 Questions heading into Blacksburg

How will Shinskie react on the road
Shinskie's brief appearances on the road in Clemson were a disaster. It will be interesting to see how he plays this week in another hostile environment. He has made quantum leaps these past two weeks and has really stepped into his role nicely but can he continue his solid play in Lane Stadium?

Can BC withstand the pressure
Having played against Virginia Tech five times in the last three seasons we can almost be assured that Tech's aggressive defense will bring plenty of blitz packages. Virginia Tech is known for fast pass rushers and they try to create turnovers by getting to the quarterback. The line did an excellent job keeping the Seminoles away from Shinskie, but can they prevent an aggressive attack from the Hokies?

Will the D contain Taylor
In the ACC Championship game last season Taylor burned the Eagles with his legs. His throwing accuracy is improved, but he is still far from a deadly passer. The biggest concern is the defense end positions. Several times the BC ends lost contain and allowed FSU to get big gains off the edge. Taylor is quick and dangerous when in space. Can the defense keep him from making big plays with his feet?

Saying Taylor isn't an efficient passer is an understatement. He's a disaster when forced into legitimate throwing situations (ignore the lucky bomb against Nebraska).

This is an instance where BC's inability to pressure the QB might actually be a benefit. His lack of accuracy as a passer and the lack of pressure might make him more prone to stay in the pocket and air it out rather than run...

That of course is contingent on their ability to slow down Ryan Williams. Magic number for BC is 20. If they can get to 20 points, they'll have a tremendous chance to win this game.
