BC Football adds two verbal commitments
The Boston College 2010 football recruiting class has added tight end Jarrett Darmstatter and wide receiver Bobby Swigert over the past couple of days. Swigert is a two-sport athlete that plans to play baseball for BC as well. This brings the total class up to 14 scholarship athletes, leaving BC with about 8 or 9 scholarships remaining for this class give or take a few.

Both seem like good pickups. Don't know if Darmstatter will play DE or TE. We are loaded at TE, but pretty thin at DE—also don't know if he could play DE. Still a nice pickup; had offers from West Virginia, Michigan State, Florida State and Purdue. Swigert seems like a nice pickup as well. Had offers from Cincinnati, Michigan, Wisconsin and PIttsburgh, so nice get. Also, kid can really run. A 4.47 40-time. Should be a nice compliment with Phillips.
