BC - Under Armour Deal

Boston College has announced the signing of a six-year deal with Under Armour replacing Reebok in July 2010. While Reebok has been a solid sponsor over the years, particular in basketball with the sneakers, Under Armour has been making a fervent pitch to tap into the college market. They currently have deals with Maryland, Texas Tech, and Auburn.

Under Armour will outfit the football and basketball teams, as well as 29 other varsity teams. UA has high quality athletic apparel and already sells plenty of BC merchandise available in the bookstore. While details of the agreement have not been released, one can reasonably assume that the contract is rather lucrative considering UA had to beat out Reebok for the deal.
