Alex Amidon WR 6'0" 175 lbs.Strengths:
- Appears to be a great route runner, and knows how to get open
- Quick and shifty, good underneath option
Weaknesses:
- Doesn't have breakaway speed
- Not particularly big or strong
- Not great in one on one battles
Development:
I see Amidon as Wes Welker type for BC. He's small but shifty and smart. If you watch video of him you see him constantly getting open over the middle and make the tough in traffic catches. If Amidon progresses along nicely and continues to learn how to read defenses' coverages, I think he can turn into a very nice clot receiver for BC.
Other Offers:
- Syracuse
- Tulane
- 1-AA

According to Rivals, the kid has 4.4 speed. That seems pretty fast to me, no?
Rivals 40 times are historically inaccurate. He may be fast but I doubt he is that fast.
He's pretty fast.

Alex Amidon, Hotchkiss
A two-time New England Division 1 track MVP, Amidon won three events at this spring’s NEPSTA championships. He won the 400 in 49.52, was part of the winning 4 x 100 team (42.59), and set a meet record in winning the 200 in 21.90.
Amidon is extremely fast. I believe his best 400m split in the 4x4 is 47.9 seconds. At Founders last year he cruised to a 21.91 in the 200m. Just putting that out there.
He is very fast.

What fool suggests Alex does not have breakaway speed? Why not ask the BC coaches about his speed?
played middle school football with alex and he is extremely fast...he's in about the 4.4 range maybe even slightly under that...I see that as break away speed
