Boston College wins Hockey East Title

Boston College won a thrilling 7-6 overtime game versus Maine to claim their 9th Hockey East Title. Senior Matt Lombardi scored the game winner to cap off his first career hat trick.

BC held a 6-4 lead with less than five minutes remaining in the third period but Maine managed to score the tying goal with thirty seconds remaining to force overtime.

BC has now won the Beanpot and Hockey East Title this year and they will look to close off the year with yet another National Title.

BC has earned a #1 seed in the Northeast region of the NCAA Hockey Tournament.
